We are looking for a group of amazing supporters to join this year’s HELPathon team. Taking place on Sunday 1st November 2020 the Auckland Marathon is a great way to raise money to improve the lives of the many survivors of sexual abuse. 1 in 4 girls before the age of 16 years are sexually abused. There’s a distance to suit everyone so you don’t have to be a fitness fanatic to get involved: Full Marathon Half Marathon 11k Traverse 5k Challenge Sign up todayto help sexual abuse survivors to thrive. Then go to Auckland Marathon website and purchase your event entry and during the entry process. Students and anyone with a low income can have entry fees reimbursed once they have raised the cost of entry. As a member of our team, we will provide: HELP Auckland T-shirt if you raise over $200 Online fundraising web page & fundraising support The feel good factor when you cross the finish line knowing you have helped others! Exercise helps mental health!
It will be a fun and entertaining night with The Fan Brigade's very entertaining and sometimes raunchy act and a charity auction with something for everyone. Jan Hellriegel, singer and author, will also provide us with a couple of songs and reading from her book 'Sportsman of the Year' which isn't what you think!!
Tasty canapes and wine from major vineyards including Craggy Range an Tantalus Estate Vineyard as well as craft beer will be provided. Wear purple with the craziest 'purple of purple' outfit winning a prize. Masks will be provided or wear your own purple version to win a prize or two!
