Your business could HELP change lives, for good

As a charitable organisation, we rely on the support of caring businesses to continue our vital work. We invite you to sponsor one of our life-changing our events or programmes, or to get involved in our fundraising initiatives. Everything you can do helps us free more New Zealanders from sexual abuse.

HELP by sponsoring an event

We run several major fundraising events each year and we’re always looking for sponsors to come on board. This is a great opportunity to promote your business, and to align your vision and values with an important charity that’s making a tangible difference to the lives of countless New Zealanders.

If you would be open to sponsoring an existing event or proposing a new event collaboration/idea, please email our Fundraising & Communications Manager.

HELP by fundraising for us

Involving your business or organisation in one of our existing fundraising events or creating your own event is a great team builder. Get a team together, create an event, and ask family, friends, colleagues and suppliers to sponsor your team.

It could be as simple as initiating a ‘purple day’ at work with a gold coin donation, or putting on a Friday night BBQ for your workmates and asking for a donation. Or your business might even like to match your employees’ fundraising efforts, dollar for dollar!

To discuss how your business can be involved in fundraising for HELP, please email our Fundraising & Communications Manager, or check out our Fundraise for Us page to see our existing fundraising events.

HELP by becoming a sponsor

Toby needs your help to keep Auckland’s children safe.  For $2,200 you can sponsor an Auckland preschool to participate in our We Can Keep Safe workshop series, with help from our much-loved ambassador, Toby.

This is a wonderful way for your business to play a significant role in helping to keep Auckland’s children safe from sexual abuse. Your support will ensure that children and their parents are given the tools to help them stay safe in all kinds of situations, and initiate important conversations in an age-appropriate, fun and informative way.

Through better education about what is okay and not okay touch, when to say ‘stop’, and when to tell a parent or trusted adult, you’ll help us to prevent future sexual abuse and work towards reducing New Zealand’s shocking child sexual abuse statistics. Based on the feedback we receive from parents and teachers – as well as the enthusiasm of participating children – we know the programme makes a huge difference.

“We had never heard of this programme until invited to attend and I have to admit I wasn’t sure how much would be ‘taken in’ by our young students. However, the structure, teaching approach and topics were incredibly well received. Jude had a lovely rapport with the children and your use of Toby was simply brilliant at helping to imbed learning.

Well done team, we will definitely be recommending this highly to all parents with children of this age and look forward to our youngest daughter attending the course when she is of age.”
– Parent, We Can Keep Safe participant

If you’d like to become a part of Toby’s team and help sponsor a We Can Keep Safe programme for an Auckland preschool, please email our Fundraising & Communications Manager.

HELP by partnering with us

Whether you’re in hospitality, tourism, music, law or any other sectors, HELP can deliver effective sexual harm prevention and support workshops in your workplace.

These workshops can be conducted at a time or location to suit you, ranging from a single one-hour workshop, through to a five-part series, or we can offer support in a variety of other ways through meaningful consultation with your organisation.

For example, HELP is currently a partner agency for Soundcheck Aotearoa, a sexual harm prevention initiative for the music industry. We partner with independent specialists, and music industry bodies (such as APRA AMCOS and Recorded Music NZ) to support, educate and prevent future sexual harm.

If you’d like to partner with HELP to reduce the harm sexual violence is having in your workplace or industry, please email our Fundraising & Communications Manager.
